Wintry conditions mark the start of the year at the Bad Lauchstädt Energy Park. While weather-dependent outdoor work is on hold, important technical steps are underway inside the facilities – including preparations for gas processing, progress in the electrolysis hall, and the completed grid connection to the Leuna refinery.
- 04.01.2026
As the year draws to a close, important next project steps are coming up at Energiepark Bad Lauchstädt: work on gas treatment and the electrolyzer plant continues, initial infrastructure measures have been completed, and the project team has moved into the new administration building on site.
- 04.11.2025
At Energiepark Bad Lauchstädt, the final plant components are taking their final shape. Progress on the electrolyser, gas treatment and commissioning preparations is bringing the project step by step closer to integrating all stages of the value chain next year.
- 17.10.2025
Construction work at the Bad Lauchstädt Energy Park is entering its final phase: The first module with a capacity of 10 megawatts (MW) has already been installed, and the full connection to the Leuna refinery is imminent.
- 14.10.2025
With the delivery of the first electrolysis stacks, Energiepark Bad Lauchstädt reaches another milestone in establishing an industrially scalable and climate-neutral hydrogen economy. Technical commissioning of the 30-megawatt electrolysis plant is scheduled for the end of the year. This brings the real-world laboratory, which will supply the TotalEnergies refinery in Leuna with climate-neutral hydrogen, close to completion and demonstrates that economically viable H₂ projects in Germany are possible.
- 21.09.2025
At the Bad Lauchstädt Energy Park, the electrolysis plant continues to take shape: Installation of the electrolyzer stacks has been underway since September – the heart of the system where green hydrogen will be generated in the future. With this, the start of production is tangibly closer.
- 19.09.2025
Construction is progressing at the Bad Lauchstädt Energy Park: the commissioning of the electrolysis plant is within reach, and further components of the hydrogen value chain are developing according to plan. More details are available in the latest construction site update.
